“It’s all over the place, wherever the power lines haven’t been and the power companies aren’t building them,” Perez said.
Koral said he does not know of any other Rappahannock residents that are living off the grid, but he sees the lifestyle as one that will become more prevalent.
“I think off-the-grid is going to become more in vogue, because of rising energy prices,” he said. “This is a trend that I think is going to be picking up speed.”
