A reported wreck involving a sports bike a few hours later reportedly turned out to be unfounded.
“Shortly alter that, I had a motorcycle that appeared to be exceeding the speed limit [eastbound] on [Interstate] 66,” Marshall said.
As he approached the Markham exit, Marshall said he also saw a sports bike pass traffic on the right Marshall said the driver failed to comply when he tried to initiate a traffic stop. A pursuit ensued, and the driver who was ultimately identified as Charles E. McNinch of Alexandria allegedly ditched his bike and ran into the woods, Marshall added.
