At the same meeting, the supervisors also authorized the formation of a committee to examine high-speed Internet solutions for Rappahannock.

"There’s probably not going to be one solution to our problem, because of our [population's] spread-out nature over the landscape.” McCarthy said. “We re probably going to have to patch various places.”
Piedmont District Supervisor Eddie Wayland and Wakefield District Supervisor Roger Welch agreed to be on the committee. McCarthy is seeking county residents that have knowledge about the issue to complete the group.
Citizens chosen to serve on the committee will be appointed at the supervisors’ monthly meeting in August.
