Gobin controlled play at first, but with 10 seconds to play, Sanchez stole the ball, drove it up the arena and smacked in a strong off-side foreshot to win for the Tigers, 9-8.
Dominic State’s third chukker pony, Speak Easy, was voted Best Playing Pony.
The evening began with a match that pitted two local pros, J.B. Olinger and Vinnie Ryan, playing with Todd Wilbur’s Madbombers, versus newcomer Gonzalo Ossandon, Melissa Buckley and Fiona Seager for the Chetwood Park team. The Madbombers prevailed 9-8.
