A brilliant high . school teacher, Walter Hatton, sparked Mary Ann’s interest in film and she began her studies at NYU School of the Art’s in the 80s. Her personal style eventually led her from film to photography and her love of the natural world. Her landscapes, with aging buildings and panoramic views, are a direct contrast to her two decades in NYC. Mary Ann captures faded colors, the patina of aged wood and brings into focus “both the beauty and the ravages of time.” In addition to her photography skills and the opening of Trumpet Designs art studio, Mary Ann has also continued her marketing work through Studio ECS (Effective Communications Solutions) and works with corporate clients on computer, internet, phone and fax, out of her home in the mountains We welcome Mary Ann to Main Street Sperryville and to Rappahannock County!
