the Griffin
In the center of Flint Hill lies the Griffin Tavern which has become a popular location as one of the few bars within the county. Todd Eisenhauer, the Griffin’s General Manager, said that although the local business has leveled off, the tavern remains a strong attraction for tourists. “During the week it’s become pretty quiet, but the weekends are packed.”
Eisenhauer said that Flint Hill has served as an excellent location for their restaurant noting that 522 was a well traveled highway. “We get a lot of the winery traffic and motorcyclists who are out for a drive through the country,” he said.
Eisenhauer added that people are still stopping in for the first time. “We’ve had people come in and say that they’ve driven by us all the time and finally stopped to take a look,” he added with a chuckle.
