July 22: Butterfly Day In Rappahannock
On Sunday, July 22, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., adults and children are invited to join the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection's Biodiversity Task Force in its annual Butterfly Day at the property of Bruce and Susan Jones. Participants, will learn how to identify common native butterflies, what to plant to attract butterflies, and how butterflies serve as important pollinators. Mary Willeford Bair of the National Park Service will give a talk and then lead a butterfly identification walk around the naturalized property. Admission is free, but reservations are required since the program is limited to 25 participants.
