County will have to replace 95 percent of it’s rushing load.

But they’ve got the talent to do so.

Senior captain Tim Fitzmorris is likely to see the most carries from his fullback spot. He’ll be flanked by juniors Steve Dodson and Brook Stokes in the backfield. Freshman Connor Settle will also get plenty of carries. Dodson, Stokes, and Settle all possess the speed to score at any time, while Fitzmorris is the guy who’ll be counted on to get the tough inside yards.

“I think we’ve got plenty of talent in the backfield,” Dodson said. “We’ve got four or five guys who can carry the ball.”

Senior Jonathan Butler returns at quarterback. Last season, Butler started five games and missed anther five after getting an infection following surgery on his tonsils. He’ll play an integral role in the Panthers offense this season after passing for 348 yards in five games last season.

“Jonathan is our leader on offense,” Coach Williams said. “He’s the guy who makes all the decisions, and he’s the guy that our younger players look up to.”
