“To find raw land is very difficult,” he said.
“I think there is a fair amount of opportunity for things that are in concert with the community that are available in the community” said Martin Woodard, of Roy Wheeler Realty in SperryviUe. There are enough things out there that could work. I’d say there is a reasonable supply.”
In addition to the commercial lots near the bank, there are a several other properties on the market in the Highway Commercial Zone west of SperryviUe, Woodard said.
1 don’t think there is a huge demand for commercial space in Rappahannock,” commented Realtor Philip Strange. “I don’t think space is hard to get for someone who wants it”
It would be difficult to find space for some commercial uses, such as industrial activities, he said. But the county is not designed for those uses, because most residents don’t want them in Rappahannock.
