In addition to the county’s office building, Fauquier Health System has purchased land to build a medical center on land behind RNB.
The bank has another 10.5 acres for sale next to its headquarters. The acreage is broken into two lots, but the land can be subdivided further down to 1acre pieces.
RNB President and CEO Mike Leake said there has been a lot of interest in the land, but the bank's leadership wants the area to be a "professional center'’ for office spaces. Same parties have wanted to develop retail ventures there, but those were deemed incompatible with the professional theme. t
“We’re being very protective to make sure we have compatible users with what is here and what is coming," he said.
