Junior Dean Hogan and sophomore Tyler Williams will be Butler’s primary targets, with sophomores Justin Fitzmoms and Taylor Yowell also seeing time at wide receiver.
RCHS lost three lineman to graduation last year. Only juniors Jacob Drake and Matt Frye return along the line. Both will play at tackle this season. John Mello will play center with juniors Matt Adams and Nathan Grant at the guard slots.
“We’re smaller, but I think we’re better,” Adams said. “Our offense allows us to use our speed and strength against guys our own size.”
Williams expects his offense to improve upon the 165.6 yards per game they averaged last year. He wants a balanced offense. One that can run the ball and pass. He also wants the best offense in the district.
“I expect that we will be able to run the ball and pass the ball,” Williams said. “Our goal is to have the best offense in the district. If we strive for that goal, I expect that we’ll be a lot more competitive this season.”
