Wilde pointed out that Carter played an excellent match. Her six service points in the first game helped the Lady Panthers jump out to an early 7-1 lead. She finished with a 98 percent serve average.
“Emily played a good all-around game,” Wide said. “She made a lot of defensive plays. She does everything well”
Maybe having the letdown in the second game could have been exactly what Rappahannock County needed. But Wilde took partial blame for dropping the second game. He decided to mix up his substitute rotation to give some players additional court time.
“I tried something a little different and it threw the rhythm off” he added. “It was my fault. But they came back and beat Luray in the third game.”
