Demand - Rain Barrels!

The Culpeper Soil & Water Conservation District will be hosting its 2nd "Build Vbur Own Rain Barrel" workshop on Saturday September 22 from 9a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Tbung Farmers' F’avilion in Madison, VA. Lunch will be provided. Barrels will cost $35 for 1 or $60 for 2, including hardware. Barrels without hardware will cost $15. Barrels can also be purchased without attending the workshop. Need a ride to the doctor? Due to the need of many in Ftappahannock County for transportation fo medical appointments, a group of local churches and community organizations have developed a progam known as RappMedRtdes. On Tuesday September 25, the American Cancer Society will hold a training from 1 to 3 at the library for volunteer ctivers. This is so Ftappahannock drivers can transport people to cancer treatment under the ACS Road to (recovery program. This can also be a refresher course for those already chiving. Sept 27: Rappahannock

Elder Care Meeting

The Rappahannock Elder Care Coalition, a group of local professionals and citizens devoted to better care of the elderly, will start meeting again on Sept 27, at the library at 1 pm. The Elder Care Coalition will be, among other topics, discussing the Senior Navigator website, with a representative present to answer questions. The meetings will, unless otherwise noted, be held on the fourth Thursday, every month afterwards. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.
