Luke Named
To NARC
Colonel E. P. Luke, Chairman of the Rappahannock-Rapidan Planning District Commission for the past two years and Chairman of the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors, has been appointed to the National Association of Regional Councils (NARC) “Non-Metropolitan Development Policy Committee” for a term of one year.
NARC, a nationwide association of regional councils is comprised largely of local elected officials, who are interested in regional cooperation.
Colonel Luke, who is one of forty-eight members on the N on - M et ropo li t a n Development Policy Committee, will be dealing with such issues as rural development funding disparities, economic development, law enforcement and housing in rural areas.

A Captain Joe Wofford Eubanks Scholarship for an outstanding high school graduate is available at The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina.
The scholarship was established in memory of Capt. Joe Wofford Eubanks of The Citadel class of 1969 who gave his life in Vietnam in June 1972. The recipient of the $500-a-year scholarship must major in history at the military college.
Selection of recipients is based on scholastic standing, extracurricular activities, leadership, responsibility, and industry.
The Citadel is a fully accredited 132-year-old liberal arts college which offers degrees in 15 different areas of study.
