What has become an annual American tradition—Girl Scout cookie sales—will begin in Rappahannock on February 3. All girl and adult members of Virginia Skyline Girl Scout Council will be taking orders for five varieties of cookies and one variety of crackers from February 3-18. This is the first year the Council has included crackers in the sale.
Funds earned through the sale of cookies and crackers are used to help local girls participate in National and International Girl Scout events, to purchase equipment and property in their behalf, and for other Troop and Council activities. Each Troop keeps part of the profit on each box sold by a Troop member for their local program needs.
A Girl Scout sells cookies to help the Movement to which she belongs and to help her Troop and sister Scouts in the Council area to have the best program opportunities available.
