BULLDOZERS move coa! at Harrison Power Station near Clarksburg, W. Va., which supplies about a third o( all the electrical energy used by Potomac Edison’s 232,000 customers. About 15,000 tons of coal are used at the station daily. Allegheny Power System now has less than an average 40-day supply of coal at its stations, and has appealed to customers to curtail electrical usage wherever possible. APS has received virtually no coal deliveries at major generating stations since the beginning of the United Mine Workers’ strike in early December.
