Leslie Franklin Jeffries Sr., 68, of Amissville died February 12, 1979 at Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Geest Funeral Home in Culpeper conducted by the Rev. Terry Green. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memory Gardens at JefFersonton.
He was a son of the late John Henry Jeffries and the late Effie Thorpe, and a native of Culpeper County. His wife was the late Marie Spicer Jeffries.
Survivors include five sons, Richard Jeffries of Rixeyville, Johnny and Cecil Jeffries of Amissville, Leslie Jeffries of Culpeper and Russell Jeffries of Dale City; five daughters, Mrs. Frances Barron of Marshall, Mrs. Mildred Wince and Miss Lena Jeffries of Rixeyville, Miss Effie Jeffries of Amissville and Miss Louise Jeffries, Jeffersonton; 19 grandchildren and two great-grandsons. A brother, Willie Jeffries of Reva, and a sister, Mrs. Pearl Jenkins of Rixeyville, also iurvive.
