Carney has been given special funds to do research on Mountain Lion’s in the National Park. His dedicated attention has involved his camping out in mid-winter for close observation of the cats. He has traced their habits for years revealing a wealth of information to share with RLEP.
With the advent of the speakers and their slides, an inner perspective on wilderness areas will be given by Carney. His research is within the area to be delineated by Clark with an outside perspective to the formation and preservation of these areas.
RLEP hopes that groups of interested and concerned individuals will attend the forthcoming meeting as wilderness involvement is not clearly perceived by the public in general.
