RECIPE OF THE WEEK
SUN-BRAN MUFFINS
10 whole wheat flour, Vi C. unbleached White flour, 2 C. bran, V* tsp, sea salt, 1 V4 tsp. baking soda, 2 C. milk, 1 beaten egg, 2 tbsp. honey, Vi C. molasses, 3 tbsp safflower oil. Mix wet & dry ingredients in separate bowls, then combine & fold in Vi C. raisins and Vi C sunflower seeds. Batter should be lumpy. Fill greased muffin tins 2/3 full, bake 350 degrees, 25 mins. Yield - 2 doz. Good prices on bran, oil, sunflower seeds, & flour at Better Thymes, Mini Mall, Front Royal.
