Announced
Dr. and Mrs. Brooke Miller Moffett of Norfolk announce the engagement of their daughter, Roberta Elizabeth Moffett, to Clyde Arthur Baker of Norfolk. Mr. Baker is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Joseph Baker of Lynchburg.
Miss Moffett is the granddaughter of Mrs. Julian Neville Major and the late Mr. Major of Riverton and Mrs. Bertie Lib Moffett and the late Horatio Gates Moffett III of Washington, Virginia. She is a graduate of Lake Taylor High School in Norfolk and of Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University. She made her debut at ihe Norfolk German in 1972 and is a member of The Junior League of Norfolk - Virginia Beach. Miss Moffett is with Staff Development-Personnel Office of the Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority.
Mr. Baker is a graduate of E. C. Glass High School, Lynchburg, and Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University. He is with Crawford and Company Insurance Adjusters, Norfolk.
The wedding will take place in Norfolk on the fifth of May.
Holiday Closing
The Rappahannock Mental Health Clinic in Washington, Virginia will be closed Monday, February 19, 1979 in observance of Washington’s Birthday. A staff member will be on duty to receive emergency calls and can be reached by calling 675-3329.
Group Meets
The Sue Slaughter Group will hold its spring home mission study class Monday, February 26, at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church beginning at 7 p.m.
The Rev. David Moore of Washington Baptist will conduct prayer meeting. Following at 7:30 p.m. the book, California Journey, will be taught by Mrs. Madeline Jones of Culpeper.
