Maintenance superintendent Allie Huff takes either the fleet’s pick-up truck or van home while his assistant, John Henry Woodard, drives one vehicle home during the summer and takes a bus home during the school year, Bloomer continued.
Noting that vehicles are assigned at the discretion of the Superintendent, Mrs. Massie asked Bloomer if he anticipated any change in current policy.
Any changes. Bloomer answered, will depend on the percentage of its normal gas allocation that the school system receives. “If we can only get 70 per cent, we may have to do a lot of things that we’re not accustomed to doing,” he said.
