possibility. Most of the Catholics in the county must drive about 20 miles or more to church. Many have been unable to go because of the distance and now gas shortage will make it even more difficult.
Bishop Welsh has a real pastoral interest in all his people in the Diocese and is eager to meet those who live in Rappahannock to get their views. Because of the marked shortage of priests it is becoming more difficult for him to serve the spiritual needs of the sparsely settled areas. He expects to announce some temporary plans Saturday to serve the people here.
All Rappahannock Catholics, whether they attend other area churches or not, are invited to the Euchorist Celebration and buffet this Saturday.
