The Miller-ThorntonBrown reunion was held on Saturday at Thornton Hill, the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Fletcher.

Mrs. Joseph Murphy and sons, Mike, and Mark of Winston-Salem, N.C. and Jim Miller of Atlanta, Ga. are spending this week with their parents and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Brown Miller.

Nelson Nethers has retired from Vint Hill Farm Station after 14 years of service.

Mrs. Frances Thornton was hostess to dinner Sunday and her guests included Dr. and Mrs. James Thornton and son, Jim of Gate City, Mr. and Mrs. Rodes Brown Jr. and son, Rodes III of Tazewell, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Brown of Hamilton, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Thornton and children, Philip and Felicia of Culpeper, Mrs. Joseph Murphy and sons, Mike and Mark of Winston-Salem, N.C., Jim Miller of Atlanta, Ga. and Mr. and Mrs. Brown Miller.

Mrs. Frank Tabler was a houseguest for several days of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Marcey and family in Falls Church. She was also dinner guest of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Stuckey and Miss Mildred Myers in Falls Church and Mr. and Mrs. James Yowell and children in Arlington. Her grandchildren, Eddie and Diane Marcey returned home with her for a visit.

Mrs. Ethel Tyner spent from Friday to Tuesday with her sister, Miss Nellie Atkins.
