Horace Gifton Pullen, Sr., 86, of Flint Hill died at his home Thursday, June 28, 1979.
Funeral services were held Saturday from the Flint Hill United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Peter Weems. Burial was in Flint Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Pullen was born November 23, 1892, in Rappahannock County, son of the late George Washington Pullen and Susan Katherine Clark Pullen. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Flint Hill United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his widow, Lizzie N. Pullen of Flint Hill; a son, James T. Pullen of Falls Church; three daughters, Ruth Lillard Harding of Arlington, Etelee Putman and Julia Lillard, both of Front Royal; a sister, Rosie Pearl Wilson of Flint Hill; 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
