Bruce James Register, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Snead of Washington, received distinguished student rank for the spring semester of the 1978-79 school year at Purdue University. In order to qualify for distinguished rating. Register was a straight "A" student. As a distinguished student, he represents, scholastically, the top 15.3 percent of the 23,670 undergraduates on the West Lafayette campus.
