Several scholarships and special awards were given during the June commencement at Rappahannock County High School
Terry Woodward of Washington, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Woodward, received a scholarship in the amount of $600 from the Francis and Margaret Leonard Scholarship Fund given by the Rappahannock County Garden Club. He plans to enter James Madison University at Harrisonburg this fall and if he returns to a school the following year he will receive an additional $400 scholarship. Choice is made on the basis of academic achievement as well as extra curricular activities of the student. Woodward also received a $100 scholarship from Amissville Ruritan Club.
