Hopewell

Activities

The Pastor’s Aid Club of Hopewell Baptist Church, Sperryville, is having a dinner, bake sale, and softball game on Saturday, July 7. Events will begin at 1 p.m. at the home of Deacon C. C. Lewis in Sperryville. All are cordially invited to come and share in the fun.

Rev. Howard Frye will be preaching at the Hopewell Baptist Church in Sperryville on Sunday, July 8 at 3 p.m. He will be accompanied by the Voices of Inspiration for the closing of the Women’s Day Rally.

Dean’s List

Two Rappahannock students made the Dean’s list at Virginia Tech during the spring quarter.

Dawn K. Gehringer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Gehringer of Flint Hill, earned all A’s for a perfect 4.0 average. Dawn is a senior majoring in elementary education.

David Brooke Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Newbill Miller of Washington, had an average of 3.4 or better in the University’s 4.0 grading system. He is a sophomore majoring in animal science.
