Did they take those rims down to be repainted and so that they could do a major overhaul of the courts? I don’t think so. Those rims haven’t been adjusted or touched by any knowledgeable school personnel in this county since they were put up 10 years ago. One rim was torn off its backboard at least five years ago and nothing was ever done about it. One rim and its corresponding backbaord were barely hanging on to their pole, rusted badly by age, which could have certainly fallen at anytime last year, just squashing an unwary first grader flatter than a pancake. It was surely a service to the world and to the community when a certain buddy of ours from Little Washington kindly took that backboard down and protected us all from
