Onions
Harvest when half or more of the tops have fallen over. Do not wait too long after this occurs. Keep well if necks and skins are allowed to dry thoroughly before storing.
Pea
Harvest when pods are well filled and eat while peas are still tender and sweet. High temperature causes rapid loss of sugar content. Smaller ones are tastier than the bigger ones. Sugar or snow peas with edible pods should be picked as soon as peas are perceptible inside the pods.
