Funeral services for Lester Lewis Hitt of Marshall were conducted Saturday at the Orlean Baptist Church by the Rev. Terry Green. Burial was in the, Orlean Cemetery.

Mr. Hitt, 80, died Wednesday, November 28, 1979 at the Oak Springs Nursing Home in Warrenton.

He was born December 8, 1898 in Rappahannock County, son of the late Stepto J. and Roberta Putman Hitt. He was a member of Orlean Baptist Church and was a retired automobile mechanic.

He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Katie Jacobs of Madison, and two brothers, Orion L. Hitt of Marshall and Jack L. Hitt of Rockville, Md.

Lillard

Mrs. Lillie Manuel Lillard, 79, of Washington died Friday, November 30, 1979 in Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal.

A graveside service was held Sunday in the Masonic Cemetery at Washington, with the Rev. David Moore conducting the rites.

Mrs. Lillard was born November 30, 1900 in Rappahannock County, a daughter of the late Robert E. and Annie Clark Manuel. She was a member of the Washington Baptist Church and was the widow of James M. Lillard, Sr., a former sheriff of Rappahannock County.

Surviving are a brother, T. Haywood Manuel of Winchester; and a sister, Annie E. Coppage of Marshall.

Pallbearers were Kermit Weakley, Charles Jenkins, Tommy Manuel, Jack Curtis, I’aul Poling and Jack Petty.

Perdue

Kevin Barry Perdue, 19, died Monday, December 3, 1979 following an auto accident in Albemarle County.

Graveside services will be held Thursday (today) in Madison Memorial Gardens at 12 noon.

He was born August 26, 1960 in Washington, D. C. He was employed by the Roy Rogers Restaurant in Charlottesville.

Surviving are his parents, Charles L. Perdue and Nancy Jean Martin Perdue of Madison, former residents of Rappahannock; three brothers, Martin Clay, Marc Charles and Kelly Scott, all of Charlottesville.
