National Park

Passports

The 1980 Golden Eagle Passport and lifetime Golden Age Passport, which waive entrance fees to National Parks and other federal recreation areas, are now available.

The Golden Eagle Passport, good for the calendar year, may be purchased for $10 at each Park entrance station in Shenandoah National Park. This passport will admit the permit holder and accompanying passengers traveling in a single, private, non-commercial vehicle to national parks, monuments and recreation areas.

The Golden Age Passport, good for the lifetime of the holder, is available at no cost upon proof of age to citizens or permanent residents of the United States who are 62 years or older.

The Golden Age Passport not only waives entrance fees to all National Parks and other Federal recreation areas but provides a 50 per cent discount on federal use fees charged for facilities and services such as camping.
