Settle
Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Settle of Rixeyville were conducted Saturday at Geest Funeral Home Chapel, Culpeper, with burial in Black Oak Regular Baptist Church cemetery, near Eggbornsville. The Rev. Wayne Richards conducted the service.
Mrs. Settle, 81, wife of Jessie Settle, died Wednesday, November 28, 1979 at the District Nursing Home in Warrenton. A native of Rappahannock County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Henry Jenkins and the late Georgia Anna Burke Jenkins. She was a member of Black Oak Regular Baptist Church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a sister, Mrs. Eva Woodward of Culpeper; a niece, and 14 stepchildren.
