John Capelle. executive director of the Rappahannock-Rapidan Planning District Commission, reported last week that Rappahannock's comprehensive plan will be 75 per cent complete by the end of December.
Capelle told the county planners at their special November 28 meeting that work on background material, including the most recent chapters on community facilities and population projections, was almost finished.
The first half of the chapter on community facilities is a summary of what currently exists in the county. "1 need to know what the commission wants to do to find out future demands and needs,” Capelle said.
He suggested that the planners contact the different governmental bodies, including school board, library board, health department, water and sewer authority, and recreational facilities authorities, to see “what they envision as required facilities for the future... We need to have a grasp on what the demand will be and its impact on the county budget.”
