Virginia Welfare Commissioner William L. Lukhard announced today the opening of a statewide toll-free telephone line to be used to answer questions about the State’s Fuel Assistance Program. Lukhard says the number of the Fuel Assistance hotline is 1-800-552-3431 and that it can be dialed from anywhere within Virginia without charge to the calling party.

A graveside service was held for Gilbert S. Cameron at the Marshall Cemetery Tuesday conducted by the Rev. Jennings Hobson.
Mr. Cameron, 65, died Saturday, December 1, 1979, at his residence in Washington, Va.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Thelma L. Cameron of Washington; two daughters, Mrs. George Barr and Mrs. Eldridge Barr Jr., both of Petersburg, W. Va.; two sons. Dale Ray Cameron of Washington and David Russell Thomas of Alexandria; a sister, Dorothy Cameron of Rectortown, and two brothers. Monk Cameron of Rectortown and J. F. Cameron of Marshall, and seven grandchildren.
