The Rappahannock County School Trustee Electoral Board has agreed to advertise a meeting for May 5 at 7 p.m. in the elementary school to confirm the appointments to the school board of Robert Eastham and Charles Eldred made last summer.
At the same time, the trustees will consider candidates for upcoming vacancies in Piedmont and Jackson Districts, positions now filled by Allen Stokes and Beverly Massie.
Notice of the May meeting states that the trustees will confirm the appointments that became effective July 1, 1979 as well as “all other actions taken at the last meeting.” According to the notice, the trustees will “affirmatively vote in open session on all actions taken at its last meeting.”
