Paula Butler, a rising senior at Rappahannock County High School and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul F. Butler of Boston, has been selected to attend the Governor’s School for the Gifted.

At RCHS, Paula is a member of the Honor Society, girls’ basketball team and the Varsity Club. She’s active in Mount Lebanon Baptist Church’s youth group and choir. She’s taken piano lessons for eight years and currently Works part-time for the Freedom’s Study Center near Boston.

Paula hopes to attend the University of Virginia and would like to teach special education.

She is one of 420 rising juniors and seniors who will attend the Governor’s School at Mary Baldwin College in Staunton from June IS through July 12. Paula and the other students participating were selected on the basis of superior
