for Garden Week in Virginia were Meadowbrook Hall and Windsor Lodge, both at Huntly.
R. M. Johnson was appointed Chief Forest Warden of Rappahannock succeeding Joseph B. Johnson who had held the position for 13 years. Johnson was connected with the fire service prior to his appointment when he manned the Red Oak fire tower from 35 to 39 and assistant warden from 45 to 50.
Egg prices continued low at 26 cents a dozen.
