Angry bus drivers and an angry teacher confronted the Rappahannock School board at last week’s meeting during the portion of the session set aside for public presentations.
Speaking on behalf of all Rappahannock bps drivers, Peggy Sutphin told the board that they are dissatisfied with the nine percent salary increase included in the proposed 1980-81 school budget. “We want 12 per cent or equal to what the teachers are getting,” Sutphin said, prompting nods of agreement from the rest of the drivers at the meeting.
