By DAPHNE HUTCHINSON Rappahannock New* Staff Writer Last Thursday afternoon, April 10, circuit court judge Shore Robertson signed an order calling for a referendum on the method of appointing members to the Rappahannock County School Board. The referendum will consist of a yes or no vote on whether school board members should be elected by the board of supervisors. Rather than placing the question on the ballot in the November general elections, Robertson stipulated that the referendum is to be held Tuesday, June 17, two weeks before appointments of two school board members expire.
If the referendum passes, vacancies in Piedmont and Jackson Districts will be filled by the board of supervisors. Current representatives from the two
