According to pair race director, Sally Cunningham there are twenty-five to thirty pairs entered in the Rappahannock pair race. “Pair racing is a perfect way to cap off the hunting season,” she said.
“A new area for general parking is also a feature of the event this year,” said race chairman Wit Kuncewicz. “Situated on the same side of Route 522 as the race course, it offers an excellent view of the races and provides a beautiful setting for picnicking,” he continued. "There are two new entrances to accommodate the east and westbound traffic. The general parking is free and it is the best value for the money of the whole point-topoint circuit,” Kuncewicz concluded.

Society Meeting
XJhp. ..Rappahannock Historical Society will meet tonight, Thursday, April 17, to plan a Civil War battle reenactment tentatively set for Memorial Day weekend at James W. Fletcher’s farm on Route 522 between Sperryville and Woodville.
Volunteers are urgently needed to organize the reenactment. Society members and friends are requested to attend the planning meeting scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in the Historical Society building next to the clinic in Washington.
