To the editor:
I’d like to compliment your reporter, Daphne Hutchinson, on the accurate and comprehensive report of events at the alcohol seminar which was conducted recently at Graves Mountain Lodge. I wasn’t there, but I have been engaged actively for several years in helping to assist the re-birth of this useful techonology. So I know the story by heart.
For the farm community, especially, home produced fuel alcohol will reduce energy costs dramatically — perhaps meaning salvation for many farmers who can no longer cope with the rising cost of petroleum—the source of about 90 percent of farm energy supply.
Congratulations, also, to the Rappahannock News for rightly estimating the value of Mrs. Hutchinson’s alcohol story. I trust it will be updated at periodic intern Is.
