Eastham’s resolution as proposed in five parts and seconded earlier by Lane, was defeated, 4-1 with the Wakefield representative alone in support.
A compromise motion requiring (1) prior approval of line item transfers, (2) authorization from the school board before Title I funds in supplemental budgets are expended and (3) five line-', item-by-line-item budget, activity and cafeteria fund reports per year passed 4-1 with Nancy Reeve opposed.
The board members agreed to discuss the possibility of combining the regular school budget with the Title 1 budget further with the supervisors.
