On August 18 through 20. Birchgate Farm in Amissville will offer its second 4-H oriented horse clinic, although this one will be open to riders of all abilities from the ages of 9 to young adult. Non-riders are welcome to audit for a fee of $5.00 per day.
Each day’s session will run from 9:00 to 4:30 for a cost of $15 per day. Horses receive free overnight accommodation at Birchgate or are available from the school for $20 for the entire three days. It is possible to attend for one, two or three days, although instruction is planned on a progressive basis.
Riders will be divided into two groups on the basis of prowess and will receive IVi hours of riding and an hour’s lecture each morning. Afternoons will feature another lecture and a second riding period. It is necessary
