On Increase
An increase in travelers visiting Shenandoah National Park has taken place over the past two months after a steady decline. A 10 percent increase in 1980 is visible over the previous year with 857,569 tallied this year as compared to 778,600 in 197901
The month of July this year found 257,100 persons visiting the Park while in 1979 there were 191,000 visitors in July or a 34 percent increase.
The maximum temperature at Big Meadows in July was 88 degrees and the minimum recorded was 44. Precipitation in July measured 8.32 according to Park statistics.
Musical Program
