me commissioner oi Revenue’s office will begin taking applications for land use taxation on Wednesday, July 15.
Under the land use program, property in four categories (agriculture, horticulture, forestal and open space) is assessed for tax purposes at its production value rather than its fair market value. In order to qualify, applicants must meet criteria on minimum parcel size, history in agricultural use and other specifics established by the General Assembly in enabling legislation for land use.
