In other action, the supervisors approved interbudget transfers of school board funds, payment of $4,895 for a four-door Granada sedan with 26.000 miles from Hertz Rental Cars to serve as a police cruiser for Sheriff W. A. Buntin, payment for two file cabinets for the sheriffs department authorized by the State Compensation Board and payment of travel expenses for the Juvenile and Domestic Court Judge.
Luke pointed out that cost of the sheriffs car is partially reimbursable while the county will be completely reimbursed for the file cabinets and J & D Judge’s travel expenses.
In addition, in case of rain on July 4th, the supervisors okayed use of the courthouse for an historical pageant and country dance exhibition.
