The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS), is encouraging consumers to determine which fireworks are permitted by their State and local governments prior to purchase.
In Virginia, Class C fireworks as specified in law are allowable. Class C fireworks are small fireworks permitted for family use, and are not dangerous when used with common sense. Most injuries caused by such fireworks are the result of flagrant misuse, not malfunction of these legally permitted fireworks.
