The alternatives now, as Allan sees them, are to go quietly out of business with a final word of flunks to the hundreds and hundreds of people who have patronized the theater, offered suggestions and volunteered labor, or to turn Mountain Magic into a non-profit community corporation, contributions to the operation of which would be tax deductible.

Hedges First Step

As a first step toward keeping the unique media arts center in operation, Allan is soliciting tax deductible pledges. If the amount pledged approaches or exceeds S8.000, he will immediately apply for tax exempt status, anticipated to be received in October, 1961.
