A little further down the road, the Amissville Ruritans will host a beef barbeque at the Amissville fire house from 3 to 9 p.m.
The fireworks at Avon Hall will be preceded by a show of horse and houndsmanship which will start at approximately 7 p.m. Oliver Brown, huntsman for the Rappahannock Hunt, will take the hounds over a course of several jumps on the grounds, demonstrating his calls and control of the pack. He will be assisted by his brother Mike, honorary whip, David Carter, Heather Marsh and honorary secretary Sally Cunningham.
