be certified as Emergency 'Medical Technicians. The majority of this group earned their certification through a course directed, by Flint Hill’s Ken Pullen and Frank Huff.
The 70-hour ShockTrauma course was held twice weekly and 25 hours of volunteer work in local hospital emergency rooms were required along with six successful intravenous “sticks”.
The course concluded with a 1-hour written exam plus an intensive practical session. Flint Hill’s Buddy Tummeyer and Doug Bywaters, Ir. and Sr. also were involved in the course and will be tested in another two weeks time.
The Flint Hill members will augment the efforts of Huff and Pullen, who are both Cardiac Technicians, the next level beyond ShockTrauma.
Bake Sale July 4
In connection with the July 4th festivities in Washington, the Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church will have a bake sale in the town.
